Well, I have been contemplating on and off about my blog. I really don't seem to have anything new to say, and since we are not overseas anymore, I don't really have new and unique things to share. Some of my latest posts are just random stuff and just not much there that I haven't said before. I have been thinking about starting a new blog, one with cooking and crafts, but I'm not sure if I would even have the time to keep that up. So for now, I have decided to say goodbye to this blog. Thank you to all the ladies who have followed me. You were a great blessing to me while we were so far from the states. I still plan to follow blogs and comment from time to time. I wish you all the best in blogging!
I would like to leave you with this verse
"And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him."
Colossians 3:17
Konnichiwa
that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.

Randomness
Our four year old likes to talk a lot. So today we were out getting birthday balloons...our little guy turned one this week...and our four year old said something like, God can get balloons when he wants. So I told him that I didn't think that God cared much about balloons. To which he replies, "what if its His birthday?" I didn't know what to say, and was trying to hold back some laughter. Finally a though hit me. So I told him, God doesn't have a birthday. God always was, so He doesn't have a birthday.
From time to time we talk about history around the dinner table. So the little guys pick up some history, but not always a time line of history. So our four year old told us that he had seen a swordfish when the Japanese were dropping bombs. :) Which after some laughter, he said he was in Mommy's belly when they dropped bombs.
Home pregnancy tests...you can find anything on the internet!!! I was looking to see if you could make a homemade pregnancy test. I found out that you can use...drumroll please...dandelion leaves!!! I might have to try that one someday. I wonder if it works. Well, I found some other things to make your own test. I am not endorsing any of these, but you can read about them here.

I found how to make bouncy balls. Our kids love these things. So I am planning to give it a try to see how it works. It looks like a lot of fun. I'll post some pictures if they turn out.

I really like this poem. Such a good poem for brothers, and well a good poem for brothers and sisters in Christ.
The Quarrel
Eleanor Farjeon
I quarreled with my brother,
I don't know what about,
One thing led to another
And somehow we fell out.
The start of it was slight,
The end of it was strong,
He said he was right,
I knew he was wrong!
We hated one another.
The afternoon turned black.
Then suddenly my brother
Thumped me on the back,
And said, "Oh, come along!
We can't go on all night-
I was in the wrong."
So he was in the right.

Links
I have a couple of random links to share today. A friend of mine sent me a link to this first one.
It has a great learning game to play with boys who love football.

This is a new recipe I want to try. I have always wanted to make fried chicken, but it seemed like so much work. I found this recipe and I can't wait to try it. It looks delicious. Of course I would have to add mashed potatoes and gravy to it, and maybe corn...or corn on the cob.

This is a link warning about some gas that could affect your car warranty. I never heard of this. A good piece of information.

And this is a cute little craft. Great for girls.

As we enter into the new year, this is a great verse to remember:
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
Psalm 100:4
As we enter into the new year, it is a good time to reflect on the Lord, and what He has done for us, and our families. A good new year's goal is to remember to be thankful for what the Lord has done for us. To remember to thank and praise Him for all His wonderful works. It is good to teach our children to praise the Lord!
