that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.

We're Back!

Wow! It has been a long time since I have posted here. It has been a busy couple of months. It is so good to have a baby in the house again. The kids all love him and they all want to comfort him when he cries. Our youngest has been so sweet to our new little one. He is always trying to give the new baby his things. So sweet! We had Grandma and Grandpa come to visit. They flew all the way over here to see their newest grandson and of course to see the other kids too. We had a great visit with them. They got to see more of the cultural side of the island this time. Grandma and I and our daughter also had fun scrapbooking and making jewelry. It was our little girls first time scrapbooking and she loved it. I think she will scrapbook for life!  :) Grandma and I also made salt at the salt factory.
We have been getting back into a school routine again. I think we are all looking forward to summer. I am hoping that we can finish school before we move. It's so much easier moving without school. We have been busy deciding where we will visit on our way to our next base, and how we will get our van etc... All the fun things about moving. I grew up as a military brat, so I am use to moving and I love it. I usually get the itch to move every couple of years. I think my hubby is worried that we will buy a house one day and then I will get the itch to move again!  :) I am starting to look forward to laying down some roots and calling one place home...tho we aren't at that point yet.
We can't wait for the rain to stop and summer to arrive. We have had tons of rain and cold weather. The kids want to be able to go outside and play with no coats and no shoes...(yes we let our kids go barefoot). It's no fun being a kid if you can't get dirty and there is always a bathtub to wash off all the dirt! :)
Well that is all from the island.

A New Game

If you have followed my blog for a while, you probably know how much we love to buy new games, and that we like to play games. This is our newest game. We still haven't played it yet, but we did open the box. Looks fun! What's your favorite game to play?

A Critter

My kids found this critter on their toy outside. I think these are such cool critters. My son was going to try to catch it, until  I stopped him. Maybe next time we will put some raw meat on a string and see if he eats it.

We went for a drive the other day, looking for a natural health food store...I was looking
for an item that we didn't find. But we had a good time seeing another part of the island that we had never seen, and also making some great memories going around asking for a product that apparently the Japanese do not use or have never heard of. It was somewhat embarassing and somewhat funny. I think we will laugh at ourselves one day! Anyways we found this cute little organic natural foods store, and so since we were there, I had to try their Apple Juice and we got the kids some Apple snacks. The juice was DELICIOUS! Tho I think I paid about $2.50 to $3.00 for it...with the yen exchange and all...and you know what? I would buy it again, it was that good. The opinions on the apple fruit snacks were divided.

This is one of our favorite fast food places here. I know it's American, but I had never eaten at one in the states. The food is delicious. I couldn't resist taking a picture of the A&W van.

This is another place to eat.

Some pictures of our drive.
We ended up at a grocery store, where we tried these delicious treats.
So yummy! One had chocolate in it, and another had what seemed to be cream cheese. It was a great treat. When we try stuff like this, we usually pick out some and then we all try a small bite of each. That way we all get to try a little bit of different things.

Our New Year's Eve Food

We had a good New Year's eve this year. We even got to see some fireworks go off, and the kids all stayed awake until midnight. The first year that they have all stayed up until midnight! We watched kid movies and ate. Then at midnight we all headed outside and watched fireworks and visited with the neighbors.
Happy New Year! Wow 2012 already!
