that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.

Making Salt

When my husbands parents were here, we went to visit the salt factory and made some salt. We were given pots with all the ingredients added, and we stirred and scraped the pot as the salt formed.
You can see the salt starting to form on the sides of the pot.

Once we were finished stirring, we took a spoon and smashed the salt and made it smooth.
We were given these delicious salt rice cakes to taste our salt on...very good!

Once we finished, we put our salt into a small pottery container to take home. It was a lot of fun to make, and surprisingly relaxing as we were stirring the salt.

  3. Hi Alica and Tracey
    Thanks for stopping by.
It was fun, but only Grandma and I
made the salt. The kids went and ate
ice cream with dad and grandpa.
