that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.

Ramblings...

The winds of change seem to be blowing our way. I am really excited about it all. I can't wait to see where the next two years will take us. Should be fun to see. I had a contest up and going, but have decided to wait on it a bit...I think maybe putting it up on the holiday weekend was not a great weekend to post a contest. So keep an eye out, I will probably put a new contest up in about a month or so. I have really fallen off the boat in homeschooling this week. I need to really get on a schedule and keep to it. Our kids were involved in a homeschool science fair. I was really impressed with how the kids did, not just our kids, but all the kids. I hope to post some pictures from it in the near future. We only have about a year left here on the island. I will miss some things, but I am looking forward to moving on to a new place. I am a military brat who married a militay man, so I am always looking forward to boxing up our stuff and moving on to a new house, and a new place. It excites me. But as our kids are getting older, the desire to find a place and settle down is more inviting. I kindof want our kids to put down roots and have a place to call home. But I also realize that home is where family is. Well that's about it for the rambling. Excited to see what new adventures will be headed our way.

  1. It will be exciting to follow along and see what your next steps will be! I have lived in the same state my whole life, so I don't really know what it would be like to move from place to place. I would love to travel though. :)

  2. I loved moving around when I was a kid. I actually miss moving every few years. It was always fun to meet new people and see exciting places. When I was a teenager we lived on the Island of Crete. Amazing!!!

On the other hand, it is nice to be in the same place, in the same home, without the worries of packing and finding all things new (home, friends, church, etc). My husband and I moved to our home twelve years ago - the longest I have ever lived anywhere.

BUT!!! If he came home and said it was time to move, I would be excited.

  3. I can't imagine the life of a military wife, but look forward to hearing where your journey takes you next! My husband absolutely hates moving and so we'll probably be putting down some deep roots here in WI. I moved around post-college spending time in Ohio, Massachusetts then southern IL and downtown Chicago. I find the more rural a place is, the better I like it. Can't wait to hear more about your contest too.
